Read this article. It was written in 1996 when news that tank waste had reached groundwater was confirmed for the first time.  As the new tank leaks at Hanford are making national news headlines, people around the country are waking up to the realities of Hanford.  This article is a reminder that we have been down this road before, and there is still so very much work to do.
